If you, your partner, or your child are navigating suspected neurodivergence, you aren’t just looking for a clinical label. You are looking for deep, validating clarity, and more importantly, you need to know what to do next.
Perhaps you are trying to make sense of a lifelong pattern of burnout, intense relationship gridlock, school struggles, or a highly sensitive nervous system. You might suspect ADHD, autism, a PDA (Pervasive Drive for Autonomy) profile, or alexithymia.
Traditional psychological testing often leaves people stranded. You wait months for an appointment, sit through cold testing rooms, and walk away with a confusing, pathologizing 20-page PDF report with zero guidance on how to actually live, love, or parent with that information.
We do things differently. We are an intensive-only practice.
We believe an evaluation should never exist in a vacuum. A diagnostic label doesn’t heal a dysregulated nervous system or repair a relational rupture.
Our Diagnostic + Intensive Bundle is a premium, all-in-one container designed to give you clinical answers and the immediate, dedicated therapeutic space to process, rebuild, and map out your future.

The Three-Phase Bundle Framework
Instead of dragging an assessment out over months and following it up with years of slow, weekly 50-minute therapy sessions, we condense profound clinical insight and systemic restructuring into a single, high-impact framework.
Phase 1: The Neuroaffirming Diagnostic Evaluation
We begin with a comprehensive, deeply trauma-informed diagnostic assessment. Using a collaborative, non-pathologizing lens, we look at the complete picture of how your unique neurotype, sensory processing profile, and executive functioning landscape intersect with your life experiences. We don’t just count symptoms; we validate your lived experience.
Phase 2: The Reconstruction Intensive
Once we have the clinical data, we don’t just hand you a report and say goodbye. We immediately pivot into action, stepping into a dedicated, consecutive-hour intensive container spanning 1 to 3 days. Together, we unpack exactly what these diagnostic answers mean for your identity, your marriage, or your family dynamic. We map your nervous system’s stress responses and actively experiment with real-time relational repair, communication adjustments, and boundary setting.
Phase 3: The Customized Integration Blueprint
You leave the intensive with a physical, completely customized Integration Blueprint. This is your personalized owner’s manual. It outlines your specific neurodivergent accommodations, somatic resources, communication tools, and environmental modifications so you can sustain your newfound clarity seamlessly at home, in school, or throughout your career.
How This Bundle Applies to Your System
Because neurodivergence impacts every layer of our lives, this bundle is dynamically tailored to the specific structure you bring into the room:
Walk away with a reconstructed sense of self, an understanding of a lifetime of masking, and a clear blueprint to navigate career, burnout, and daily executive functioning without shame.
Cost & Payment
The total investment for the Diagnostic + Intensive Bundle is $3,750. This includes:
- Full $2,000 diagnostic evaluation
- 6 hours of intensive format sessions split over two weeks
- Your customized Integration Blueprint
- A 1-month check in session after completion of the intensive
- An out-of-network superbill upon request
We accept credit cards, debit cards, HSA (Health Savings Accounts), and FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts). Payment plans are available upon request.
Move From Confusion to Clarity
You don’t have to stay stuck in the loop of guessing, masking, and managing symptoms. Let’s get the answers you deserve and build the exact structural framework you need to support them.
We host in-person intensive bundles at our office on the Carrollton/Plano border in North Dallas as well as select virtual options.

What is the difference between an assessment consultation and a full diagnostic evaluation?
An assessment consultation is a 50-minute clinical “deep dive” to determine if a full formal evaluation is necessary. While a full assessment results in a formal diagnosis and a comprehensive written report, the consultation focuses on reviewing your history and existing records to provide a professional recommendation on the best next steps. It is a cost-effective way to gain clarity before committing to the full diagnostic process.
Can I schedule a consultation if I live outside of Texas?
Yes. While full diagnostic evaluations are currently limited to residents of Texas, the ADHD and Autism Assessment Consultations are available to individuals residing anywhere in the United States. This service is designed to provide clinical guidance and record review, which can be conducted nationally.
Will the consultation fee be applied to the cost of my full assessment?
For residents of Texas who choose to move forward with a full evaluation at Tanager Counseling, the $300 consultation fee is applied as a credit toward the total cost of the assessment, provided the evaluation is scheduled within 30 days of your consultation.
What kind of records should I provide for the clinical review?
To get the most out of your 50-minute session, it is helpful to provide any prior psychological evaluations, IEP or 504 plans, medical reports, or documentation from previous therapy. Reviewing these “footprints” helps identify whether your current challenges are best explained by neurodivergence, or if other factors like burnout or trauma are playing a primary role.
How do I know if I need a consultation instead of just booking the full test?
A consultation is the right choice if you feel overwhelmed by the testing process, are unsure if your symptoms “qualify” for a diagnosis, or need to know exactly what kind of documentation is required for college or workplace accommodations. It acts as a bridge for those who want professional confirmation before making a larger financial and emotional investment.
Can a consultation help me distinguish between ADHD, autism and CPTSD?
Yes. Many neurodivergent traits overlap with the “freeze” or “fawn” responses found in trauma and chronic burnout. During the consultation, we look at your developmental history and current nervous system patterns to help clarify whether a neurodivergent-affirming assessment or a trauma-informed therapeutic approach is the most supportive path for you.
Does this consultation provide me with a formal diagnosis for medications and accommodations?
No. This service is a clinical consultation and does not replace a full psychological evaluation. While you will receive a clear professional recommendation via email, most physicians and educational institutions require a full diagnostic report to grant accommodations or prescribe medication.
