Standard talk therapy relies on a client’s ability to identify and verbalize emotions. This is a task that can be neurologically inaccessible for those with alexithymia or trauma-based histories. Join us for a 3-hour deep dive into bridging the communication gap between body and brain.

Course Details
- Date: July 24, 2026
- Investment: $150
- Session Time: 1-4 PM
- Location: Zoom
What You Will Learn
We will dive deep into three core objectives:
- Identify how alexithymia impacts emotional processing and interoceptive awareness in neurodivergent populations.
- Master the use of somatic markers, tactile tools, and visual aids to help clients externalize feelings that lack internal labels.
- Adapt traditional “Feelings Wheels” and intake protocols to bypass verbal bottlenecks and access authentic emotional data.
How many CEU hours will I receive?
Participants will earn 3.0 Continuing Education (CEU) hours upon completion. A certificate of completion will be emailed to your registered address within 48 hours of the event.
Is this training compliant with Texas board requirements?
Yes. This training is designed to meet the professional development criteria for LPC, LCSW, and LMFT licenses in the State of Texas. We recommend practitioners always verify specific category requirements with their respective boards.
Which session should I attend—morning or afternoon?
The content for the 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM sessions is identical. We offer two time slots to provide flexibility for your clinical schedule. Please register for the one that best fits your day.
Is this a virtual or in-person event?
This is a virtual event. You will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link after registration.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
We do not offer cash refunds for registrations. However, we understand that clinical emergencies happen. If you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event, we will issue you a full tuition credit ($150) valid for one year. This credit can be applied toward any future CEU training or clinical consultation. Cancellations within 48 hours and “no-shows” are not eligible for credit. If the event is cancelled on our end, a 100% cash refund will be issued.
Will the session be recorded?
To protect the privacy of clinical case discussions and ensure an interactive learning environment, this is a live-only event. Attendance in real-time is required to receive CEU credit.
